SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
CHORAL ENSEMBLE
Practices are held at 8:30AM each Sunday before worship service from September through May.
YOUTH MINISTRIES
Our children and youth engage in service projects as opportunities arise - often using Surge Craft time to create uplifting seasonal decorations for those whom Pastor Bauman visits. About 50 are used monthly for his ministry at retirement and nursing homes as well as for those hospital or homebound. Older children also serve as acolytes and engage in "Feed My Starving Children" as a group when schedules allow.
LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY LEAGUE (LWML)
All women members of Immanuel are automatically members of the LWML which funds mission projects both nationally and globally through the collection of "Mites" (coins). Bible studies and devotions are held at our local, zone and Northern Illinois District meeting sites and include visits from mission minded speakers, gathering of items to benefit mission work and other events as time permits.
Mission Goals
Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement.
